The last weeks have been busy, fun, and with an occasional intestinal problem. I participated in many more outreaches, tasted many local foods, subsequently became a patient myself for a brief moment, and after treatment and recovery continued the internship with the presence of more muzungu people: a student and two doctors from the UK, two colleague interns from Groningen, but most importantly, Susana came to join me in the final weeks! Together the experiences have been even better, because I could show her the work, the people, and let her experience the community outreaches and patient contact. Additionally we travelled through Uganda, went on game viewing safari trips and are happy to return to the Netherlands together. Pictures from the safari events will follow another time.
